The Sika Deer Unit undertakes all aspects of deer management and control and provides expert advice on subjects such as damage assessment, limitation and prevention, optimum deer population levels and cull planning.  Research work is also undertaken.

Clients of the Sika Deer Unit encompass a broad spectrum of landowners, which vary in size from small farms with a localised deer control problem to large deer farms and estates.  These often have differing management requirements such as increasing body weights or the development of  exceptional antlers.  Regardless of the landowners' requirements, the Sika Deer Unit has the experience and expertise necessary to offer expert management and advice.

Accompanied stalking is available through the Sika Deer Unit however, it is emphasised that this takes place in strict accordance with the deer management plan and those wishing for the opportunity to stalk a quality head must book many months in advance, if not the year before.  The Sika Deer Unit is also able to provide accredited witnesses to accompany clients who are working towards gaining the DSC level two certificate.
